Step 1:  From your Shopify admin dashboard, navigate to Age Verification Pop-up. (It is assumed that you have completed Setup Guide 1 before proceeding to this step)

Step 2: You can change the name of the pop-up you are creating by clicking the "Edit Name" button.

Step 3: In this step, you can choose where your pop-up will be displayed on your store.

    • All pages: The pop-up will appear on every page of your website.
    • Home page: The pop-up will only be shown on the homepage.
    • Specific collections: Show the pop-up only in selected collections. You can search and add collections from the list.
    • Specific products: Display the pop-up only on selected products. You can search, filter, and choose the products you want.

Step 4:  You can choose a pop-up template that fits your store and customize it afterward.

  • Age Limit: The minimum age required to access the site.
  • Date Format: How the date should be entered (day/month/year, month/day/year, etc.).
  • Radius: The roundness of the input box corners.
  • Color: The background color of the input fields.
  • Text Color: The color of the text inside the input fields.
  • Size: The overall size of the input fields.

  • Step 5: If you want to set the pop-up as a button, you can either show a message when the user is underage or redirect them to a different URL (etc. google.com).

    Step 6:

Cookie Retention: This setting controls how long a visitor’s age verification is remembered.

  • By Session: The visitor will need to verify their age again each time they close the tab or browser.
  • Days: The visitor will not need to verify again for the number of days you set.
